I am merely a man; suffocated by art. I am a southern California native who loves life and all of the art in it. I grew up with a pencil in my hand and an unrelenting passion for illustration. I fell in love with tattoo art and culture at a very young age and received my first tattoo at the legal age of 18.
I did my first few tattoos in 2006 while studying fine art in college. After a bit of development and some real soul searching, I began tattooing full-time in 2007. I was fortunate enough to land a job with Mike Devries at the end of 2009 and worked there at his shop until mid 2012. I learned an entirely new skill set and approach to tattooing while working alongside the amazing crew. I’m very grateful for the time that I spent there, the knowledge I gained from all of the artists, and the friends I have made. In the summer of 2011, I competed in and won the title of the reality television show, “Best Ink”, a tattoo competition which aired nationally. I am fortunate enough to be an award-winning artist and to have had my art and tattoo work published in several magazines and books. I constantly strive to progress and to stay versatile as an artist. The art of tattooing is sacred to me and I am honored to be a part of such an amazing community of artists.
When I am not tattooing, I am usually working on new art or traveling the world with my beautiful wife, Lisa. I also stay very busy as the co-owner of Prophets & Poets, a modern art patronage in which we give back to the art community, by promoting the work of new artists and tipping our hat to the greats.
Starting from a street graffiti background in my hometown Santiago Chile I grew a keen interest in graphics in general. After moving to England I quickly made a name for myself in my hometown Hull and was scouted by a multi award winning studio, Creative Vandals, working along side some of the UKs top tattooists. I developed my own custom script style and have since devolved my skills further onto black and grey!

Thanks to Hush product i’m able to create these masterpieces. During the years i have been to many tattoo Conventions throughout the world where i have gained knowledge and experience from different artist. I love maori and pacific styles that influence my Kiri Tuhi and also extremely enjoy realism and pretty much just anything that is beautiful and challenging. I welcome an inspiration from my customers, though they should be open minded to some, or a lot of changes and improvements.
Born and raised in Long Island, NY, Steve LaMantia (Lammy) has always been drawn to the wonderful world of art. As a self-taught artist, Steve found serenity through art. While exploring all styles, he grew fond of realism and the ability to create a 3rd dimension with only a pencil and a 2D platform. There was never a doubt in his mind he’d end up planting himself in a career in art of some sort. Excelling through his grade school art classes, he then moved on to attend Tampa Technical Institute and eventually graduating on the President’s List, with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. After college, while working in the Digital Art field, he soon realized his happiness was in “true art”. In the Summer of 2003, a friend, who happened to be a tattoo artist, suggested that Steve should get into tattooing. While entertaining the idea, his friend soon became his mentor and the door to a career in tattooing was open. His natural artistic talent made for a smooth transition into tattooing. As he progressed, learning all aspects and styles of tattooing, he found his interest remaining in realism. Constantly advancing, his devotion to this craft has kept him busy and motivated to continue climbing to the next level. Today, Steve has numerous tattoo awards under his belt and has had his work featured in numerous tattoo magazines. His talent has left him fortunate enough to obtain sponsorships by some great companies including Hush Anesthetic, Eternal Ink, and Hustle Butter Luxury Tattoo Aftercare to name a few. He has maintained his niche in realism, but enjoys twisting it up and incorporating an illustrative flair. You can find Steve currently tattooing at Requiem Body Art located at 11036 Northcliffe Blvd. Spring Hill, FL. 34608, or traveling to various tattoo conventions around the U.S. and abroad.

Originally from a small town in Door County, WI, Jonathan moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2007. Shortly after graduating from a school of graphic design, Jonathan started to take interest in tattooing and put digital art on a back burner to focus solely on advancing in his new artistic direction. Taking influence from the world of fine art, Jonathan has pushed to differentiate his work in the tattoo scene by involving elements of surrealism and traditional tattoo design.
When not traveling, Jonathan can be found at The Golden Rule Tattoo in downtown Phoenix.
My name is Khan, this is a little bit of my story, I’m from South Korea my passion is tattooing, I love waking up in the morning ready to do a new tattoo, traveling is a big part of my tattooist journey, from my many trips to USA and Europe and Australia I’m very fortunate to learn from other artists, when I see how big and great this industry has grown, it drives me to try everyday to be the best tattoo artist I can be, is a great thing that I have he chance to travel and see tattoos and artists from many places. I moved to beautiful country Australia 2013 to do more focus my art and my family but, I don’t really know when I will stop traveling because in my opinion a tattoo artist never stops learning…the key is to stay humble and always hungry to learn new techniques and find inspiration to do better tattoos , being around more tattoo artists and new places is great to keep that hunger alive, to me it seems to never stop, all I can do is do what I love and do best….tattooing…
I am a professional tattoo artist working from Matt Jordan’s Ship Shape tattoo studio in Auckland, New Zealand. Born in Australia and raised in New Zealand I began professionally tattooing in 2013. I specialize in realism, Polynesian and fine line work tattoo and recently have started pushing my own new style “mosaic flow” which seems to be taking off well both national and international through social media.
I went through an apprenticeship at a Polynesian based studio – Taupou Tatau, in Wellington New Zealand, where learning how to do a fine line was key. As I picked up tattooing I began to take a liking to realism. At the beginning of this year (2015) I was luckily enough offered a job at Matt Jordans – Ship Shape Tattoo Studio. So I accepted and took on the move up to Auckland where I felt it would be best to pursue my love for realism styled tattooing.
HUSH allows my clients to sit comfortably, especially towards the end of the tattoo. I tend to mostly focus on having one client for a whole day session, by the end of the day HUSH comes in handy to take the edge off, so I can maintain focus without having to rush the tattoo.
I’m a tattoo artist from South Carolina. I’ve been drawing and painting since I was a little kid. I learned to tattoo in 2006 while in the Marines, stationed in Okinawa Japan. While on active duty, I could only tattoo in my spare time, which definitely made it hard to focus on getting better. When I got out of the Corps in 2010, I started tattooing full time in Columbia, SC. I mostly do color realism and new school tattoos, but I like to vary styles depending on the piece/client. Ultimately, I just like to tattoo, and welcome the chance to do something cool and challenging.

The Spaniard’, she has tattooed a number of celebrities in the music, sports and art world and has worked with the likes of Lal Hardy, Ami James, Chris Garver, Tommy Montoya and Megan Massacre. I started tattooing professionally in late 1998 in a busy street shop in Akron, Ohio. The constant flow of diverse customers gave me a strong technical foundation for tattooing, and the ability to be diverse, but left me wanting more. After working for a few years in several shops in Akron I got an offer to go to 252 Tattoo in Cleveland, Ohio and jumped on it since 252 had a strong reputation as being a leading shop in N.E. Ohio. Working there I got to work with and watch several really good artists that were doing guest spots and it opened my eyes to all the possibilities of tattooing. I constantly critique my work to see what I could have done better or would have done differently so I can continue to learn and grow as an artist. I feel like this, if you think everything you do is great then you will stop learning and growing. I really like doing all genres of tattooing but I would definitely have to say my favorite would be color realism. I love the challenges that it poses and also the look of a well done realism tattoo. I try to do as many guest spots and conventions as I can because it’s such a good way to get out there and meet new artists and learn new techniques. In the past couple years I’ve been all over the country and the ability to travel remains one of my favorite aspects of this field.
Award winning tattooist, and co-founder of Fallen Sparrow Tattoo Co., Legion Avegno, began tattooing in October of 2006. Since a boy, Legion remembers being artistic, which later would turn into a career choice and graduating from Full sail University with a degree in computer animation. During this time, he’d draw tattoos for his friends and refer them to a local parlor called Rob-G’s Tiger Tattoos. A few referrals and a few tattoo drawings later, the artists of that shop saw a potential in him and approached him with an apprenticeship opportunity. Legion learned the art thru tattooist Spooks Joya, and says he was lucky to have had two other great artists, in addition to his mentor, in that shop (Joey Arvelo and the late Rob-G).. Since then Legion has gone on to win numerous awards, media coverage, and has received recognition by his peers as a respected tattooist. After the unexpected passing of not only a friend, but of someone he admired, Rob –G, Legion and Spooks decided to open Fallen Sparrow Tattoo Co. in Kissimmee Florida. Rob’s favorite holiday was Halloween, so Fallen Sparrow’s opening day was October 31, 2009- the shop is dedicated to, and in loving memory of, Rob-g.
Award-winning artist and co-founder of Fallen Sparrow Tattoo Company, Spooks Joya or Spooky as his friends call him-originally from Queens, New York–got his start in the tattoo industry at a shop in Greenwich Village in New York City at the age of 24. One day Spooks accompanied his best friend Brian to get his first tattoo and decided that he wanted to get some ink as well. However, when he got there, Spooky realized there was nothing on the wall that he would get tattooed on himself. He began drawing his own design for a tattoo because he didn’t see anything on the wall that he liked, recalled Spooky. When he was approached by Tattoo Joe and was asked if he ever considered tattooing. His best friend Brian over heard the conversation and kept pushing him to give tattooing a chance. “Brian was the one who inspired me, he encouraged me, not only giving me the confidence I needed in myself, but he physically made it possible for me to get into the business” says Spooky. Spooks apprenticed under 14 Gaje at The Kingdom on 6th Ave and west 4 in Greenwhich Village. Within three months of apprenticing, he was already tattooing. He began working two shifts–tattooing at one shop and going to his second shift at another shop where he shadowed some really great tattoo artists, studying their techniques. Spooky later moved to Florida s hortly after he met Rob G. from Tiger Tattoos in Kissimmee, who offered him a job. Tiger Tattoos became his home for the next five years. During his time there he really developed as an artist, “I was forced to spread my wings and take off on my own. I was forced to develop my own style and technique.” He was given the opportunity to tattoo many celebrities, basketball and football players, DJs, and was frequently invited to travel to other cities to tattoo on location. While his list of clients has reached superstar status, which includes NBA stars SHAQUILLE O’NEAL, AND DESHAWN STEVENSON as well as rappers CAMRON, TONY SUNSHINE, THEM FRANCHIZE BOYZ and BLOCK MONTANA, Spooky remains humble and true to the art form that offered him a new beginning. His motto has always been “Theres a difference between a tattooist and a tattoo artist, a tattooist reproduces, a tattoo artist creates.”
Feeling extremely fortunate for doing what he loves since 2008, Justin’s tattooing inspires him everyday not only to become a better artist, but also as a person to reach his full potential is all aspects of life. My truest inspiration comes from my lovely daughter Paisley, if it weren’t for her I wouldn’t have half the drive I do in my career. His primary style focus on is new traditional”, a very Victorian-based style with heavy blacks. Currently traveling the country and enjoying the chance to meet new people, each and every day and client brings a new experience! With that being said not all clients on the road can tolerate a 6 hour tattoo, thankful to be a part of Hush, a product that helps clients sit a little longer to make it through.
Travis Brown is a tattoo artist from Aces high tattoo shop in West Palm Beach, FL. Tattooing since 2007 and can’t see himself doing anything else. A man who truly loves his job and puts every ounce of dedication into it. His hobbies outside of tattooing are in painting and drawing. He would consider his style his own version of neo traditional tattoos but also enjoys taking on any challenges people throw at him, as those keep him growing as an artist. It’s vital that his clients feel comfortable when getting tattooed. Whether its making sure every last detail is perfect in the placement or drawing of a tattoo, down to being as nice as using awesome products like Hush anesthetic to get them through those tough sessions, he feels that it makes a big difference in the whole experience. Traveling artist who attends many conventions- Travis does some guest spots in other shops.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic before moving to New York at age 13, Jon specializes in custom neo-traditional tattoos. “I’m largely inspired by Victorian art.” Tattooing since 2008, Jon has managed to appear in several tattoo magazines and on Oxygen’s tv show “Best Ink”. This is a small collection of tattoos Jon has done over the last few years, which highlight his style and what he likes to tattoo. Enjoy. “I like the fact that Hush allows the client to get tattooed more comfortably, it not only allows them to be able to sit longer but it helps to reduce skin irritation. It’s very helpful when Im doing very large tattoos at conventions to finish off those long tattoo sessions. I have tried HUSH Gel on myself when I was tattooed by Adrian Dominic and was amazed at the difference in pain while I was being outlined. Really, the change in pain was drastic to say the least. It also does not effect the texture of the skin or the healing process of the tattoo which is by far the most important thing. This is why I can tell my clients and other tattoo artist confidently to use HUSH.
Andres began tattooing in 2009 back in his native Venezuela. In 2010, he met and married his wife, an American, and came to live in the greater Houston area where he began his professional career. After working in several shops in the Houston/Galveston area, he was fortunate to be invited into Red Dagger. He has been working at Red Dagger since March 2013 alongside some of the most talented artists in the Houston area. Andres’s style has evolved to become very distinctive in the industry, and he specializes in realistic and surrealistic pieces. When he is not tattooing at his home shop, he is busy doing guest spots and conventions all over the country and the world. Andres says, “Since I’ve been using HUSH, my clients can sit more comfortably, and I can say that HUSH gives me that extra edge to finish my tattoos with no rush”.
