Did you know that 10 out of 10 doctors recommend washing your hands regularly with antibacterial soap and water for at least 20 seconds? Moms do, too. And nobody loves strict hygiene standards and moms more than the tattoo community.

Guide to washing your hands

It didn’t take a global pandemic for us to start scrubbing between our fingers, underneath our nails, and slightly beyond the wrist. Nope. We’ve been washing our hands for years. Even though our ink may not be “mom-approved,” she can’t deny our hands are clean AF. Are yours?

Unless you’ve washed your hands in the past hour they’re likely covered in germs. And you’ve transferred a lot of those germs to other people and surfaces—your partner(s), phone screen, the mail, other people’s kids you tutor on the side for extra money, etc. That’s okay.

Germs are part of life. However, you'll need to kill as many germs as possible if you’re planning on living a long one. Hoarding toilet paper, surgical masks, and high caliber ammunition will not eliminate germs. It will, however, prove you’re not listening to experts.

The best way to eliminate germs, of course, is by regularly washing your hands with antibacterial soap and water for at least 20 seconds throughout the day.

If you’re out of traditional hand soap, no excuses, use the Hush Foam Soap you picked up for your next tattoo. It’s antibacterial and awesome. Your health is in your hands literally and figuratively.

Help spread the word by sharing your care routine with the hashtag #HushCares.
